GENERAL QUESTIONS

Classes begin the Monday after Labor Day in September and end mid May. Specific start/end dates can be found on our calendar.

For students in our Intro to Dance classes, it is recommended that parents wait in our lobby while their children are in class. For all other dancers, drop off is recommended due to limited space in our lobby.

Parents may not go into the dance rooms unless it is an emergency. We will have designated Parent Observation Weeks where parents will be invited to watch class.

All students must wear proper attire and appropriate shoes. The instructor must be able to see the dancer's body to correct alignment and placement of the dancer.

All female dancers must wear a leotard (any color) to all classes. Dancers may wear a ballet skirt, athletic shorts, leggings, yoga pants, or snug fitting tops over their leotards. No extra-long/baggy pants, jeans, or jean shorts. Pink or tan tights are encouraged to be worn all season.

Male dancers should wear a t-shirt and shorts. No jeans.

Yes, appropriate dance shoes are required for each class. Street shoes are not permitted on our dance floors.

For a full list of required shoes, please check our "Tuition, Policies, & Procedures" page.

We want our dancers to look and feel breat when they perform! You can help your dancer practice with Google Classroom. Teachers will upoad music and videos for dancers to practice at home. If you need help getting connected, stop by the front desk.

Tuition is charged on a monthly basis and is due on the 1st of each month. If Tuition is not received by the 1st, a late fee of $10 will automatically be charged to the student's account.

No refunds or credits will be given for classes missed, but you child can attend another class as a makeup experience. This can only be done until January 1t. We also allow you to "bank" a class if you feel your child will miss after January 1st cut off date.

Good attendance is imperative because absences and tardiness can hold back the entire class. If a dancer has excessive absences, they may be asked to take private lessons at your cost and may lose their spot in the recital.

CHRISTMAS WALK PERFORMANCE QUESTIONS

An annual tradition, Marysville's Uptown Christmas Walk & Tree Lighting offers our community a fun-filled evening of holiday spirit and magic! Visitors maye enjoy live reindeer, children's activities, dance groups, carolers and musical performers, costumed characters, horse-drawn carriage rides, and even photos with Santa himself at Santa's village.

This event is held annually on the first Monday following Thanksgiving at Partners Park Pavillion by the Marysville Library. It is a free, outdoor event.

Our dancers join in the holly, jolly fun by performing special holiday themed dances they've worked on in class! Students in Combo 1 and older are invited to participate with us. Each level of class will perform one number.

For dancers in Grade 1 and older, we will practice their dance in the Ballet/Lyrical and Jazz classes. If your child is not in these classes, they are welcome to attend those classes for free to learn the dance or they can learn the dance from the videos posted on Google Classroom.

This event is not required but is a fun way to kick off the holiday season.

Dancers are encouraged to order our limited edition Christmas Walk t-shirts and sweatshirts! However, dancers do not need to purchase these to participate; they may also wear a long sleeve t-shirt to match our theme. All dancers should wear black bottoms. They may also accessorize with other holiday items like reindeer ears, scarves, and gloves. In the true Spirit of Christmas, we donate all the proceeds from our Christmas Walk t-shirt sales to purchase Christmas gifts for residents of a local nursing home who would otherwise be overlooked this holiday season.

END-OF-THE-YEAR RECITAL QUESTIONS

A celebration of our students' accomplishments! All of our dancers have the opportunity to showcase all their training and hardwork from the throughout the year on stage in a theater for their family and friends! Each class will perform one dance. For Combo classes, they will perform one dance in each style.

Both the performance and the Dress Rehearsal will take place at Marysville High School at 800 Amrine Mill Rd. Marysville, OH 43040.

Every dancer is ordered a professional dance costume. We believe in highting our dancers so they can shine on stage! Please wear clean shoes and tights.

No, parents are not allowed backstage. We have designated Parent Volunteers from each class to assist dancers backstage. No other parents will be allowed. We find that having parents backstage can be very distracting for the children and can raise their level of anxiety often setting off a chain or requests for parents.

We try to plan each show to be approximately 1 hour long. Each dance will typically be around 2 minutes long.

Please remain seated through the entire show. Getting up during the show is both disruptive and disrespectful. All dancers will perform in the finale number. We cannot release any students before the end of the show, for the safety of our students.

This rehearsal gives dancers the opportunity to practice their routines on stage and become comfortable with the auditorium. We will be running each dance once, unless their is a technical problem requiring a second run through. We cannot run the piece again for dancers who arrive late.
