Cindy

 

Cindy Lopresti (Owner / Artistic Director)

Cindy is a seasoned professional performer. Cindy has studied extensively with Jennifer Lopez dancer & choreographer Barry Youngblood, as well as jazz pioneer Gus Giordano. She was a featured dancer, model and spokesperson on the Rhythm City Show, a nationally syndicated variety show. Cindy is a former member of the Kelley Street Dancers of Dayton and of the cheer and dance team at The Ohio State University. She is currently a member of the Miami Valley Dance Teachers Association. Cindy has judged many talent competitions and dance team tryouts. She has choreographed numerous show choir and drama productions. Cindy holds an Associates Degree in Fine Arts and a B.S. of Education in the Unified Arts from the Ohio State University. Of her 25-year dance career, this marks her 17th year teaching. Cindy is also a certified ZUMBA instructor.
 


MelissaMelissa Hare (Dance Instruction)

Melissa began dancing at the age of 3.  She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz and acrobat and has frequently performed throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Indiana and Washington D.C.  Melissa has advanced dance training with many nationally acclaimed master teachers.  She has choreographed  dances for several local organizations.  Melissa has been teaching dance since 1998.  She and her husband; Scott, have three children; Alyssa, Shanna and Sean.  Melissa is an experienced group fitness teacher and just became a certified ZUMBA instructor.


 

 


Deborah Boratko (Dance Instruction)

Deborah

Deborah has been involved in dance for twelve years. She has studied several different styles including jazz, tap, ballet/lyrical, pom/cheer, clog and hip hop. She has competed in many dance competitions. Deborah is a part of the AmeriDance staff located in Westerville, Ohio, instructing camps throughout Ohio. She has performed with the Cleveland Cavalier girls, Wright State Dance Team, and Fort Wayne Freedom Dance Team. Deborah has choreographed many che

er and dance routines during her dancing years. Deborah is originally from Delphos, Ohio and is currently attending The Ohio State University majoring in textiles and clothing Business Marketing.

Morgan Drake (Dance Instruction)

Morganhas been involved in dance since the age of 4. She has studied many different styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern contemporary, musical theatre and swing. She has studied with many different teachers and choreographers. She has also had the privilege of training at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City.   Morgan has also studied at American Musical and Dramatics Academy (NYC) where she worked with dancers and choreographers on the Broadway stage. She has danced competitively for over 10 years and has won many regional and national titles in Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, and Florida. Morgan has been teaching and choreographing since the age of 13. She worked as an assistant choreographer for New York's Park Playhouse for productions of "Grease," "West Side Story," and "Guys and Dolls" and had the opportunity to perform in "West Side Story" as a featured dancer and lead dance captain.


 



Sherman Charles (Voice, Piano  & Dance Instruction)alt

Sherman teaches the show choir classes, vocal lessons and piano lessons. He works for the Marysville Exempted Village School District directing the show choir’s combo.    He has   graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in   Music and Spanish with a focus in Hispanic Linguistics and a   minor in Linguistics. He has played lead roles in many school and community productions as well as participated in the nationally ranked Swingers Unlimited. During the summer he works at the internationally known Show Choir Camps ofAmerica where top show choirdirectors, choreographers, composers and performers share their knowledge with teachers and students from all over the globe. Sherman is proud to be teaching at ISDC for the 2011-2012 season!
